Women, Dreaming - Original Handmade Linocut Print

from £9.00
“WOMEN, DREAMING” Linocuts by Ella Flavell
Size: 10.5 cm x 14.8 (A6)
Hand printed and finished. Includes the artist’s signature, the work’s title and the print number. Printed onto 80gsm pink lokta paper.

Each of these prints has been produced by hand, from the initial designing and cutting of the lino to the inking and printing. As a result, each print is unique with its own character and distinguishing marks.

These five linocut prints are based on portraits of women from the Renaissance to the 19th Century. These include:
- Woman in A Green Dress, Bartolomeo Veneto (1530)
- The Infanta Isabella, School of Reubens (1615)
- Madame de Pompadour, François Boucher ( 1759)
- Swiss Girl in a Bonnet, Artist Unknown, (1800)
- Madame Moitessier, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres (1856)

When looking at a portrait it’s often fun to wonder what the sitter was thinking about for all that time, where did their daydreams take them, and whether any part of that emerges in the finished portrait…

Choose between buying one print or the complete set.
